The last I knew, if you factory ordered a vehicle to your specs, there was no sales contract with the dealership until AFTER the vehicle was delivered.

You would be able to haggle for pricing and use the incentives that are CURRENT at that time (delivery), not what exists now because you aren't able to take delivery now.

Also, when you order a vehicle, your deposit should be refundable since the vehicle is saleable by the dealership if you can't work out a deal after delivery.

Can someone correct me?

That makes sense and I'm assuming the dealer feels the incentives will still be there in the 6-8 weeks it takes to get the truck....I got a better price by $400 but the dealer is an hour away and it's not worth it.....bought my Ram here so I'll stick with them....price seems to be good as know one else can really beat and others won't even match it.....I can get an ECN for the 1% under invoice but they beat it by a little before incentives anyways....with the holdback looks like the dealer is making about a grand.....

It sounds like a good deal and if the incentive will be there OR you can get a guaranteed price (whether that money comes from mfr incentive or the dealer's pocket) then I say go for it.

This is the email....looks like they honor current incentives and if they become better they'll honor those.....

"Hi, Happy New Year! The MSRP would be $48575. The invoice is $46048. Affiliate pricing that you said you had would be $45663. We would sell you the Citadel for $45463 which is below the affiliate pricing. Rebates right now are 1750 so would be $43713. The best part of a factory order is if the rebates get better when the vehicle comes in in 6 to 8 weeks, then you get the better rebates. Win win situation, You get exactly what you want, and price locked in or only gets better. We are more than fair Then we just need to add the mopar factory runningboards which I believe is 632 or so , depending on which ones you want. Let me know if you are ready to move forward and we can start the process and one day closer to driving your new Citadel "

Almost 5 grand off an ordered vehicle sounds like an awesome deal to me.
