Grand Cherokee rims on the Durango
Hello everyone,
there are a number of people on ebay selling their OEM rims with stock tires from their Grand Cherokee, ranging from MY 2011 to 2014.
I guess that those should fit well in the 3rd Gen Durango.
Can anyone confirm?
In one such offers I got the following specs
Size 8x20 inches
Bolt Pattern 5x125 mm
Offset 56,4 mm
Center Bore 71,2 mm
Would such rim be equivalent to my OEM 20'' rims?
On the internet I found lots of partial and contradicting information.
For instance this page http://www.wheel-size.com/size/dodge/durango/2011/
reports that the Bolt Pattern of my DD rims is 5x127 and the width of the rim is 8.5'' instead of 8'', as I thought. Moreover the Center Bore is N/A
Instead for the Grand Cherokee
http://www.wheel-size.com/size/jeep/...cherokee/2013/
With wheel size 265/50 R20 the width of the rim is 8" as expected.
So, any real life experience is welcome.
Who has mounted Grand Cherokee rims on the 3rd Gen Durango? Any caveats?
Thanks in advance
Nicola

Actually whatever fits grand cherokee is most likely (99%) to fit Durango.
When i was choosing tyres/rims i made a lot of investigations, and here is what i have to tell you (including experience of my tyres):
1) Do not put tyres wider than 285, because then they will be touching under the wings while turning. 285 is great! fits perfect.
2) If you put wide tyres you need wide rims. My 285 tyres are on 11.5 wide rims. And that's the great way to go, because if you install such wide tyres on 9 wide rims that will be wrong, including driving experience and even the look of the wheel overall.
3) just as an example of what size tyre/rim you can install (maximum) if you do not lift your car and leave it's factory height:
Tyre 285/45/22 (these tyres are 5% higher than factory tires. it lifts the car up 2cm and the overall wheel height is 4sm bigger than factory - as a result you get a bit more fuel usage and your speedometer will show 5% less speed than it really is).
and 22 (11.5wide) rims for these tyres.
I hope my comments will be of some help to you)
