Default AWD message ???

I have recently been getting a message on the dash saying something like, "To complete engaging AWD/LO vehicle must be traveling 2-3 MPH". Again, this isn't the exact wording but just what I can recall at the moment. The AWD rotary switch is on the Auto setting, and I don't believe anything else has been done to try getting it into Lo gear.
Any ideas why this may be happening?
(2014 Citadel AWD 5.7)

Thanks guys....

I would see if it changes into the low mode....then change it back out. I mean actually putting into AWD/LO mode then switching it back to the Hi.

Just a thought.

Had this on my 2012 and the dealer cleared it up with a TSB for a software update. Has not happened again. I don't know the service bulletin #.

I believe I’ve found the TSB that you are referencing, bbtkd. The TSB# is 21-003-13. However, it does not apply to the 2014 model year. With that in mind, brewcalhoun, I recommend taking your vehicle to anauthorized FCA dealership for a formal diagnosis.

Last night as I shifted into drive, 4-LO magically engaged and would not release. Ended up 4 wheeling it back home from the store. I know, it's not really 4 wheel drive, lol.... Anyway, I dropped Dolly off at the dealer this morning and they figure its a software issue. Waiting for their call at this point.
