Went to CARMAX yday to sell my mother-in-law's 2005 Sentra. Bought used in 2007 for $11k, and sold 8 years later for $4k. Got chance to wander the lot. Saw a 2012 Citadel 8 cyl for $27k. A few slots away was a 2012 4Runner Limited for $37k. My daughter had a 2011 4Runner SR5. I felt it was underpowered and had a bumpy ride due to the short wheelbase pickup truck frame. I have 30k trouble-free miles on my 2013 R/T. BTW I am pretty sure the Toyota would only have a 5 speed tranny like the Durango. You could buy an extended warranty on the D and come out way ahead of the Toyota, and enjoy a much better vehicle.

Toyota's have always held their value for some reason. I think they are overpriced personally.

The Toyota has almost half the mileage as well but still overpriced in my opinion!

Agreed, especially the ones they've had the last few years. Family member had an older camry (2005 I think) it was nice and a comfortable, well made car. Co-worker has a 2014 Camry, seems much more cheaply made. I think when Toyota became a top seller and more popular, their quality started to decrease. The recalls confirm that but the co-worker's camry just feels cheap all around. Door handles feel like thin, hollow plastic. Like if you pull too hard, they'll rip right off. He even commented when riding in my Durango and new Charger that the dodge vehicles feel more solid and substantial.

My mother-in-law had a 1992 Camry that felt far-better built than her 2004 model, which feels cheap all the way around. I haven't been in a new one but it doesn't sound like Toyota has done much to reverse direction in build quality.

My 2012 SR5 4Runner didn't even offer a passenger seat with more than fore and aft......even in a 43k Limited. I sold that after seeing her squirm in that brick of a seat. Durango is much superior.
