Default Widest Tires on stock 20s

So I'm at 30,000miles on the stock/loud Goodyear Fortera's, and the Goodyear Dealer said I'm 3-4 10ths, and come September inspection I'll need new tires. The Fortera's are cheap, $175 each, installed, but I want wider, and quieter, and I'm willing to pay more, figuring I'll get better treadlife !

I've had many sets of Goodyear ComforTreads for sedans, currently running Bridgestone Serenity's on my Hyundai Azerra, 255/45/19.....expensive but whisper quiet.

Any suggestions ? Anyone go bigger ? 275 or 285....45/20....or 40/20 ?

Hey Mike
Maybe my post wasn't clear

I want larger tires while keeping the stock 20" rims

I want to know what size tires people have upgraded to from the stock 265/50/20.

Not looking for what tire brand.

Stock 20" rim is 8 " 275/45/20 recommends a 8.5" or wider.. those 8" limit your wishes.

But if you want a quieter tire the Yokahama are great and silent.

I can also go the route of a 2014 or 2015 Durango Takeoffs, new style rims, and tires, but only 265 width.

I'd consider customer Rims/Tires, but always get scared of the bolt patterns, spacing, etc.
