Default Rear shocks on backorder, dealer has no estimate of time

So I took the D in 4 weeks ago now due to the rattling in the back. Dealer ordered the parts (rear shocks and strut mounts), but says they're on backorder. DodgeCares or anyone else want to give me an ETA on when I can expect to get them? Dealer says he doesn't even have an ETA from Chrysler on it at this point. I'd rather not drive around on bad rear shocks for another month or two if I can avoid it.

mcfarl58,

Which dealership did you bring it to? Also, do you have the part and order number?

The dealership should have the order number available. If they gave you paperwork for the order, it should be somewhere on there. If you PM me your VIN, I can reach out to the dealership to get the order number and see if there is anything further I can do to assist.

A couple months. Good luck with that. I have had my rear shocks replaced three times on my 2012 and none of them solved the problem. I have now been waiting since last fall for these alleged new model shocks that have yet to be released. Its sad that this issue has not been resolved as of this date.
