Default Memory settings

I think this might be a quick answer for most... I can't seem to set my seat (etc) memory in in my 2012 R/T. I loved this feature in my 07, but I just can't seem to get it to set.

Is there any indicator in the EVIC when you press memory buttons? The 07 used to give me at least a message, that it was setting, or not allowed because it wasn't in park etc etc... The 12 gives me no feedback whatsoever. I'm beginning to think the memory button on the door is faulty. Any ideas?

The memory settings are not faulty in your 2012. My wife just went through this process in her 2015, however I don't remember exactly how she set it. I think both key fobs had something to do with it. Try this...with it in park and at least the accessory mode is on, adjust your settings, then press set, then press #1, then use key fob #1 and hit the lock button. Do the same process to adjust setting #2 using the lock button on the fob to complete the sequence. Try it and let us know. I'm sure someone can chime in...

Thanks, but its a no-go.

Tried in Off, Accy, Run - Running and Not Running - Door Open, Door Closed

(As well as the steps outlined in the manual)

No beeps, chimes, messages...nada. And most importantly, no memory set.

I always mess mine up, I hit it with my left knee while I'm driving for some odd reason.

You got something else going on then. I have a 12 r/t and all my seat settings, radio stations and mirror positions work. With the D running, I'll see on the uconnect screen state something about "Driver 1 settings active" or something like that.

Next question, are you out of your 3/36 warranty? Something seems faulty with your memory settings.

Basic warranty is gone. 51,600 miles...

Is the display on only when running?

UPDATE: I pulled the switch from the door and it's not connected to anything. : )

"Now there's your problem."

Looks as if the wiring it connected below the mounting hole in a 'not installed' holder?

I've yet to dig into it.

Wrap up: The connector I could see below the memory switch mounting hole was the lighting for the door pocket. The connector was hanging loose inside the door.

Connected it, pushed the switch back in. Memory settings are now working just fine.
