I see some chrome square shaped somewhat thick loops in the trunk, that are difficult to pull up. Can I hook ratcheting tie downs to those? Anyway to tie the trunk down, so I can drive with the trunk open? Looking to use my DD as a pick up truck for a couple hours. Thanks

 

I don't think they're very strong. When I had my 12' I ratcheted to them and it bent the passenger side hook.

 

What are you trying to hold in/down?Is it heavy or just oversize?

 

New treadmill in a box

 

Do you have a trailer hitch on your R/T? The only suggestion I can think of is to put a hitch in the receiver and tie down the liftgate to the hitch.

The straps between the liftgate and hitch will have to be able to hold the treadmill in as there is no decent/strong tie down inside the rear of the DD.

Perhaps go to Home Depot and rent their truck for $19.95

 

Will it fit all the way with the front passenger seat folded down?
