They recently completed (in 2015) a by-pass that affects a route I take often. It would drive me nuts if, wanting to drive that route, the nav unit would only try a different, longer, way.
PS - I like using the Nav for time/distance info on this 300-mile run I make all the time. Not for actual directions. 8-)
