Default transmission cooler line on 2006 Durango leaking

I have never seen the connection made at the bottom of the cooler. I assume it is a special tool to make this connection? does the entire assembly for the transmission need to be changed or can it be cut and spliced? It is not leaking badly, just seeping a bit. Can it be "lived with" and for how long. It appears to be leaking at the meeting of the rubber hose and metal tube

Can you post a photo?

When I added the autometer manifold for my trans temp gauge in the cooler line I could not get it to stop leaking until I used Whitlam's pipe dope!!
Those other automotive high heat sealers were a waste of time.
Over 3 years and still no leaks!!!
My lines are either 5/16" or 3/8" stainless I do not remember which.
Application depends on where and type of material;
You can get compression fittings for a repair but if it is just a rubber hose to stainless line why not just add a hose clamp or two? I did that 10 years ago at my power steering pump connections and it has never leaked since!!!

Just my 2 cents
