Default Weird sound in rear cargo wall

Howdy,
Anyone have any idea what this sound may be? I'm hearing something mechanical, with a small pop then twisting or tightening sound coming from the rear cargo wall. It's coming from inside the passenger side wall opposite of the gas tank wall. Sometimes I hear this sound constantly while I'm driving. Even when I turn the vehicle off I hear this sound (eventually it will stop). I thought it might be the rear hatch constantly locking. But even after opening the rear hatch, I'm hearing this sound. What the heck is in the behind the wall in the cargo area passenger side (opposite of the gas tank)? I"m just afraid what ever it is, is sucking up battery while the car is off, or worse cause a short...
Thoughts?

OK after googling around I believe what is behind this rear quarter panel is the rear HVAC unit. The sound is probably a bad rear blend door or actuator. I will open up the panel and see, but has anyone ever replace this thing?
