Do I need to return the rotors or am I good?
Hello everyone;
i wish my first post was not under these cervomstances but it's not. So here is my question,
i bought power stop z23 1 click kits here are the links:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HIVHEBC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_8UhvWpU3BhFea
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HIVHEBW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_g3NwzbXF6ABW3
i received the rear ones today and they are solid rotors... instantly went back to amazon along with other sites to ensure I was supposed to get solid rotors with that package and they all showed solid ones. (When buying the kits I ensured to check multiple sites to ensure that I was getting ones that would fit my durango.) anyways all the rotors on my Durango are vented so I'm worried the solid rear rotors won't be compatible with my Durango. I checked thickness of my current rotors and the vented ones are about a quarter inch thicker than the solid ones so that really worries me. So am I victim of bad luck and got the wrong rotors or were all the sites right and I can use the solid rotors on the rear wheels without changing anything. Please let me know! Also I'm guessing I could have gotten different rotors with the car then what usually ships with it but I don't think the factory likes me that much
.
My Durango information:
year: 2015
trim: citadel
engine: v6 3.6L

As a suggestion only.
When in serious doubt on any key safety feature like brakes. Stick to OEM.
Buying after market products, there can be an issue with form, fit and function.
If they don't look right and the rotors are not to OEM specifications.
Chances are you got the wrong ones.
Check the return policy for your money back.

i use power stop brakes on just about everything i own and a fleet of super duties at work without ever having a problem with them, now if you go onto rockauto and look up the one click brake packages for you truck they show 2 different kits, one with larger front rotors and vented rear rotors, and one with smaller front rotors and solid rear rotors. my best guess without researching it would be that the larger front/vented rear was for a durango with the factory tow package and the smaller front/solid rear where for non tow package durangos
