Verdict on DD paddle shifters?
I see where Dodge actually made our DDs more fun to drive by adding paddle shifters on the '15s (?) and above. I'm glad they did it because that twirly thingy on the console is a poor substitute for a gear selector.
Any way, what's your feeling on the paddle shifters? Are they for all 8 gears or do they skip gears for performance improvement? Fast shifts? Accurate?
Durable? Reliable? Problems? Recalls? etc?

The new trans is good enough that you generally won't need the paddles. I have played with them a bit for occasional enthusiastic driving, but the fact that they spin with the steering wheel makes it awkward to signal shifts while cornering.
I suspect that they would be most useful if you drive in a hilly area where you want to use engine braking or hold a gear up a hill for some reason.
