Capless Fuel Filler - Missing Ring around Filler
I have a 2014 Durango with a capless fuel filler. The piece with the small hole and door that the fuel nozzle fits into and seats against broke off and I lost it. I can still fill the tank, but there is now just a large opening.
The dealer sells a ring for the fuel filler, but this is only the outer ring and does not include the other pieces I need. The dealer is telling me that I need to buy an entire fuel filler tube for $250 plus installation that goes from the fuel filler to the gas tank as they don't sell the part I need separately.
Has anyone had a similar experience, and if so, what did you do?
