Clicking sound when slowing down
Alright guys and gals, here's a good one.
Sunday July 16 I replaced both hubs with new Timken's, I had to get rough with the passenger side resulting in a torn CV boot. I drove it for 2 days thinking I may get away with driving for a bit longer before I ordered the new half shaft, wrong. The noise started on the way home, so I stopped by the auto parts store and picked up a mid range (new) not remand complete half shaft. I had to take the new hub out to get the new half shaft in, put it all back together, and torqued to specs, there is still a slight clicking noise when slowing down at about 2 miles an hour. Went back and made sure brake clips were in, and that I didn't skip a step. Everything looks great, rotors and brakes are 6 months old, new hubs, new CV shaft on passenger side only and that where the noise is coming from.
2 weeks before I did a complete fluid change as recommended, front diff was a bit milky when I drained it. New Royal Purple 75/90 No leaks, all fluids are up to normal. When getting up to normal driving speeds everything is quiet and flawless... Thoughts?
