Default towing

I have a 2015 dodge durango citadel and have a trailer i have to tow to mexico from las vegas any suggestions on the dos and donts anyone with experience towing long distance that would like to share

Gotta give us more information than that. What engine is in your Durango. What type of trailer (open, enclosed, etc) how much does the trailer weigh? What are you going to be hauling, etc.etc.

Additionally, does your Durango have a trailer brake controller already? Does the trailer have electric brakes? When is the last time the bearings were checked, cleaned, and lubed on the trailer?

Have you ever towed a trailer of comparable size/weight before, just not this distance?

I'd like to know if you have factory tow package installed on your Durango or looking to add aftermarket hitch. Big difference in towing capacity between the two. Engine size will make a towing capacity difference too. As mentioned here, knowing what you're towing would be helpful.
