Replacing left side power liftgate strut 2013 durango
2013 durango rt saggin liftgate wont stay up replaced right side strut still sags guessing left needs replaced however how do you accomplish this as it appears to be in an eletrical actuator ie much thicker plastic tube and wiring
That's funny because 9 times out of 10, it's the right side strut going bad that causes a saggy liftgate. But if you have changed it and it still sags, I guess it could be the power one. Here's the part you need:
Did u repair this? I have the same issue on my 2011. New mopar pass side but still sagged. Did not quite want to invest another $200 without knowing if it could be a software issue. Did you have to remove a trim panel to get to the plug?
I did the same, replaced the left side first as it was the least expensive. Ended up having to replace the power lift on the right side to correct the problem.
The bolt/stud snapped in the body for the electric arm. Surprised it was soo powerful or that the stud is so soft. I'm curious what is the known cause of this. Strong arm or weak bolt/stud 🤔

this happened to me. I had a welder weld the stud to the body, but now The strut won’t stay on because of the connector. Trying to figure out if I can replace just the connector.

FIxed😎👍..
Bought a new bolt for about $4.
Tried to get out the old stud but the entire nut and stud fell into the body 😳🤪.
My umbrella was ongoing gate support
Pissed I took off the upholstery panels and speaker.... very important
Cut a 1/4"x1" slot in line with the hole in the body behind the speaker location.... screw driver/hammer attack Taped a nut into a bendable / disposable Ikea furniture wrench 😋
....left the wrench as a backup in the slot.
Happily back in business😎Hope this helps someone 😉
