Windshield wiper fluid reservoir wont hold liquid and hose to sprayers is split
Recently my DD 2013 stopped spraying windshield wiper fluid. Added fluid and tried to spray. can hear motor but still not seeing any spray. finally noticed spray coming out the side of the hood. looked under hood and noticed the hose is split in two. Later noticed that all the fluid had leaked out under my car. Sounds like I have a hose issue and a reservoir issue.... Are these easy fixes or do I need to send to dealership?
If it’s only a hose that needs to be replaced, no need to get the dealer involved. Open the hood and and inspect the system instead of guessing. See what you need to do to replace the hose.
If the hose is split all the way to the pump, it can drain the reservoir, even if the pump is not activated. Was plain water used in the system previously that maybe froze and caused things to crack?

Short of the pump itself, the tubing for the front windshield washer system is pretty easy to work on. It is easy to trace the tubing and you don't need specialized tools...the hose clamps are simple. The "T" or "Y" connectors and tubing are readily available at your local auto parts store (bring in pieces of your old ones to be certain you get what you need). If it is your pump (and is sounds like it is not) or your reservoir (also sounds like it is not) those are more tricky.
The only advice I will give you...if you ever need to replace a spray nozzle (the small plastic piece that pokes up out of the hood and sprays your windshield)...spend the extra $ to get the OEM part. I fiddled around with aftermarket nozzles that fit, but did not do the same job the original nozzle did. I was never happy with the amount of spray, the direction of the spray or the windshield coverage. I wasted a couple months and a few $ before I ponied up what seemed like a large sum of money ($18) for a tiny piece of plastic...I replaced both at the same time, so $36...but was very happy with the result. Sometimes I try to save a few bucks and it bites me...at my age you'd figure I've learned, but maybe I'm still learning this particular lesson.
