I have brand new 2018 Durango it has 153 miles on it. I went to get gas for the first time, hit the button and nothing happened. Is there a manual release. I couldn't find anything in the book.

 

I have a brand new Durango (153 miles). I went to get gas for the first time, hit the button and nothing. The gas door don't open. I checked the fuses and it was okay, checked the owners book for a manual release but found nothing. Any ideas?

And after you get gas, bring that thing back and have them fix it. Brand new 2018 and the fuel door doesn't work. Come on FCA.

 

My '12 has an emergency release accessed through a panel inside the rear storage area. It is noted in my manual.

 

This happened to me and even the emergency release wouldn't work. I noticed the door sitting slightly crooked in the opening. I realigned the door and hit the release again... it opened. Hope this helps.
