Default Remote Starter for a 2018

I purchased a 2018 Durango with the 3.6 engine in November I wanted the remote starter for it so I spent the extra 400. They could not put it in at the time because of part number problems, so they said. I still do not have it installed and now they are saying the part is not yet being produced.

Has anyone had this problem? I am finding it hard to believe!

Well, about that. Last month when I contacted the dealer they said ,because they weren't getting anywhere, I should try Dodge customer service and gave me a number. I called customer service and they told me I had to purchase a Uconnect subscription. I told her that the dealer showed me a system with it's own fabs. She then asked me if I wanted to be connected to the dealer. I said yes thinking the dealer would know that I did indeed contact customer service. When connected I could hear the dealer rep say hello and her name repeatedly I kept saying my name and hello. It was like I could hear her but she could not hear me, a game maybe, I text the sales rep and he blamed it on customer service. Now the local dealer isn't responding to my texts. That is why I am on the forum. My next step is to take the "We Owe" slip to another dealer and ask them but in the back of my head i will be wondering if they will say it is not available yet because of some cutesy thing for my dealer.

If you are texting a salesman, you are wasting your time. Once they have the sale, they are done with you. Instead of texting and waiting for a response, drive there and have a face to face with a service writer, or take it up the chain of command

K, thanks. Maybe that is why no response from him sale is done and so is he. He responded at first to be courteous.

Hello Julie,
How do you do a private message?
The other day I contacted the dealer through their website and a lady in the finance department replied saying that her father in law asks her everyday about it.
Then later that day I got a text asking me if I had the power lift gate, they should know, I said yes. Then shortly after that a text came saying that the remote starter in only available for units without the power lift gate. Come on really????

I would go to another dealer and deal directly with the Service Manager.
