Default Crew AWD Transfer Case Ticking

This weekend I was driving the D when I noticed the steering got heavy. When I was turning it started wheel hopping like it was locked into 4wd. There are no lights on the dash and no indication it's in low gears. I have tried removing the positive post and seeing if it would reset the system. I have tried putting it into low and neutral with no success. When I drive it has a distinct clicking sound as if it is trying to change something. I have not done any wire chasing but looking for guidance or if anyone has had anything similar happen.

Hello Dawson Bailey,

If you end up going into the dealer to get this inspected, let us know. We'd be glad to help with this and escalate to a Case Specialist for further handling.

Default Update

I did end up going to a dealer for the fix they changed the control module, sensor, and shift motor at a price of $1400. Was told by the dealer it was an internal gear, because they didnt know what they were talking about could have done the work myself way cheaper but the warranty is nice to have.
