Default recommended size for jack stands and floor jack

I am trying to find out what is the recommended size for a floor jack and jack stands for a 2011 Dodge Durango. I want to make sure I am safe but don't need to over do it. Would like to be able to use them on a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe too.

Any 2-3 ton floor jack from harbor freight tools will work just fine. Here you go....

I have a floor jack like the one shown in the link from jkeaton and I also bought a 2-ton combination jack stand and hydraulic jack - Unijack made by Powerbuild (see picture); they have a larger capacity of this combo jack but it would have been too tall to fit under my other car. For both jacks I made adapters from iron male pipe caps to fit around the lip of the jacking points under the rocker panels (see pictures); the larger one fits in the dish of the floor jack and the smaller one for the combo jack, which I also drilled a hole and put a screw that fits into a hole I drilled on the top of the jack so the adapter doesn't slip off.

Adapters.

Combo jack.
