2018 R/T just stopped working!
I have a 2018 Durango R/T, 7 months old with 8k miles. Yesterday it just stopped and became Stephen King's Christine! We had just pulled out of a parking space and started driving thru the parking lot and it just shut off. We started it again and it shut off again a few more times. The horn was honking (long beep, short beep, no rhyme or reason), the windshield wipers were going on and off and you could hear the motor for the rear wiper (which I've never heard before). The ignition was stuck in run (but not running) and the radio would go on and off. We could not shift it out of park to even push it out of the way. The tow truck driver had to use the shift override to get it out of park.
Has anyone had this happen before? Luckily my husband and son were with me, but it's usually just me and I'm disabled. So if this was just me and anywhere but a parking lot (thank God we were!) this story could have played out a whole lot differently!

Really?! Why didn’t I think of that?! Seriously, I didn’t think I needed to state that I was smart enough to have my brand new $50K vehicle towed to the dealer when I said I had it towed. Until I get answers from them I’m wondering if it’s happened to anyone else.
So smart, you can figure it out yourself. Maybe someone else with help you but why would they after that.

Overtime, you can learn a lot here.

Nobody can speculate what's wrong on a car with 35 modules, going by text description alone.
I can tell you, there are tons of brand new cars down with stupid $hit and low miles and it's getting worse. FCA better get their asses in gear and get it solved.
When I fix the dead 2018 in my stall with 5,200 on it...............who knows? I'm seeing issues with badly built wiring harnesses from vendors AND assembly line screw ups with wiring as well.
