Default Shift To P

Lately my car has been doing this and I’d like to know why and also how to deal with it correctly.
I’ve owned my car new since 2016 and in the past two weeks it’s put me in this position where it won’t go into gear when I turn the shift **** to D.
It left me in the middle of the road the other day blocking a lane.

Cluster reads, “Shift to P then Desired Gear”

car does not move. Kinda like trying to drive it with the E brake on. Then eventually it disengages and it’s good.

I believe its the electronic sifter issue. I had my replaced.
Go to the dealer, have them look at it, I believe there is some kind of recall on that, if you have decent understandable dealer they will work with you on getting you free pass.
