New wheels! What should I run?
I need (well, WANT) new wheels for my Octane Red (aka burgundy) '17 Citadel and I'm looking for suggestions.
First of all, I had SRT8 repros (20X8, hyper black, Hollander 9113) on my gray '13 Crew and added red caliper covers. Everyone, wife included, loved the look. I added the OEM oval side steps to the Crew to make it easier for my wife (she's 5'2") to enter and exit, and did the same for the Citadel.
I'm trying to replicate the look of the '13 Crew and will be adding red caliper covers to the Citadel but I'm hesitant to simply slap on the SRT8s in hyper black because I'm unsure of the look with burgundy body color.
I'm leaning toward the SRT8's (Hollander 9113) in chrome rather than the hyper black simply to give the truck a little more pop.
I'm open to suggestions but nothing too radical; I'm sticking with 275X8X20 or similar. Got any ideas?
BTW, my 15-year-old grandson and I both love the 'Sport" option button on DD. Even with 5,000 pounds of Detroit steel we've surprised a few people at the stop lights.

My '18 DDGT is Octane Red w/ Hyper Black wheels and I think it looks great!! I definitely prefer it over the regular black wheels with the blacktop package. I'm not sure how the red caliper covers would look, if I could find Octane Red I'd probably get them. I'm wondering if just go nuts and get yellow or something like that to really make it pop!
When I look at this picture I just wish I got the performance hood...

Caliper covers are easy and MPG has a few different colors. They should be cheaper for what they are but they do add a nice look.
Painting calipers never turns out right unless you really put a lot of time and paint into them. Otherwise the pits in the metal fill with brake dust and they just look bad.
Sorry for the dirty wheel. Winter.
