Post Keyfob issues

I've had my used 2015 DD R/T for 2 years. I never had an issue with my Keyfobs. Last year the Keyfob was not being recognized so I had Dodge Service replace the battery on both fobs. Within the last month or two my vehicle doesn't recognize the Fob is in the vehicle. I have to click the Unlock button on Fob to tell the vehicle it's in the vehicle, and then I can start the vehicle. Something happened over the weekend where I was in the vehicle as it was running. I was waiting for my Uncle to get into the vehicle, and I got notification that Fob was not in the vehicle. I have no problems with keyless entry. That always seems to work. It's just starting the vehicle, and yes to those people that will say "Did you put your foot on the brake", yes, yes I always do.

has anyone experienced this issue? I searched the forums, but did not see anything posted except in 2015.

Thanks

if there are no codes set in the rf hub it probably needs new fobs.
if the old fobs ever doesn't allow a push button start...push the start button using the fob...it will pick up the fob just like a transponder key in a keyed vehicle.

The assumption is made that you do not leave the FOB's in the car. Many times people that park in a garage leave the FOB inside the car; this causes the FOB to "wake-up" often to check what the driver wants to do, thus draining the battery.

Myself I wish they had conventional keys and ignition on them . Something else to go wrong on them . Have never had ignition key issues in the 40 years of driving that I have done .
