Default 2015 Durango Citidel trans/drivetrain issues

Second owner of a 2015 Citadel V6 with 38,000 miles on the vehicle. Well maintained and runs and drive well.
ISSUE: When the brakes are applied and the vehicle comes to a complete stop, pressing the accelerator normally to accelerate; I experience what is felt as LOSS MOTION. It only happens from a full stop and pull off. It feels like something needs a 1/4 turn or approx. 90 degs to reengage before the car accelerates forward.

IS this normal or indicative of a looming problem. I have an extended powertrain warranty but don't want to waste the deductible for a diagnostic fee if this is something that they are going to say is NORMAL.
IF, you have ANY information past experiences or knowledge on what is happening, please let me know.

THANK YOU very much in advance.

If your vehicle has hill assist turn it off . If you are on any kind of incline the computer will apply brakes for you so it doesnt roll back . The computer is also really slow at releasing those brakes so you are pressing on the gas and nothing is happening . Had this issue on our 2014 Grand Caravan . This fixed it. Look at owners manual on how to turn it off .
