Default TPMS message

Hi All

I just bought a 2017 GT. The wheels/tires it came with did not have TPMS sensors in the wheels. Looks like aftermarket wheels.

So my TPMS message/screen in the centre console always comes on after each startup (like a default) and i have to scroll up to get to my speedo screen.

I previously come from a 2011 Journey and i would put winter wheels on that didnt have the TPMS sensors in them, and after a day, the journeye would know i didnt have any and the warning/message lights would go away for winter until spring and I put my summer wheels back on. Once it detected the sensors in my summer wheels, it would go back to normal reading and displaying the pressure.

Does the durango do the same or until i get the sensors put in, am I stuck with seeing this message each time i start up the vehicle? Or will it go away like into a "winter mode" whereas since there are no sensors, it will just stop reminding me?

any info would help.

thanks!

I think there is a way to do that and it is in the owners manual . Take a look in there for your info. .

I checked service info for your build. what its doing is normal winter mode operation for that vehicle. it won't work like the older journey.
