I have a 2018 Durango GT with factory oem remote start & alarm system. I went to activate my uconnect so that I can control the car through the app but come to find out the 7" radio doesn't allow this. If I upgrade to the 8.4" will that be enough to get uconnect smart app to work? Do I have to change out the rear view mirror as well? The one I have currently doesn't have the 3 buttons for uconnect. If I switch out these do they have to be programmed for my Vin in order for the app to work? What can I do beside installing a completely different aftermarket system with the smartphone feature?
