Another Recall 2011-2013 Durangos/Jeep GC
Looks like the previous fuel pump relay fix didn't quite do it. NHTSA / FCA issued a new recall 19V-813. The recall, covering 2011 through 2013 model year Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs, will address silicon deposits on the contact points of fuel pump relays that may interrupt electrical current.

What are the symptoms. As posted in another string, about 400 miles after I had the dealer replace the sparkplugs the car started stuttering at low speeds, particularly when cold. I had the SUV checked out and was told there was no problem. It does seem to work fine if you accelerate quickly, it does seem to work better once it warms up.

So we are at our winter home in Florida, about 2,250 miles from home, and our daughter who checks our mail texts me with a copy of the recall. I called my dealer to ask if I should try to get it fixed while down here, or could it wait. The response I got was that there are no parts available for the recall, which means I should wait until May when we get home. Oh and for what it is worth, the low speed stuttering. referenced in an earlier post, seems to have gone away.
As a minor update, we came back to Nova Scotia having experienced only minor hesitation problems while in the warm climate of Florida. However, as we got into the Citadel in Hartford with temperatures being cool, the hesitation came back and persisted every time we shut down, even for 5 minutes to gas up. Since getting home, we first quarantined, and just have not felt secure enough to take the vehicle in for service. It has been in the house's garage since mid March only started enough to extract things block by the vehicle. I did have it checked out in Florida and was again advised that there were no codes, and that everything was working. One of these days I will take it in here to see if they can find the source of the hesitation, but I have put over 5,000 miles on it since first noticed.
