Default 8 Speed Transmission weird operation

2015 Durango Limited Having issue, first problem P0731 DTC would not shift out of first gear. 96663 miles, changed oil and filter, inspected pan and it was perfectly clean and oil was like new. Drove for another 400 miles no problem. Then was coming to a stop, transmission locked in D3, shift to reverse and it flashes the R on dash and the **** R led DTC codes P0729 P1D8F P1D96. From park to D, instrument shows it cycling from D1, D2 then stops at D3 before even moving. Stayed that way while at the garage checking all cables etc. Decided to send to dealer for transmission replacement. Got in to move the vehicle into position for tow truck and guess what? Everything worked normal. What is y'alls thoughts? One DTC code was P1D48 and it isn't listed anywhere! Cleared codes, it immediately came back with a P1D96 and the vehicle wasn't even moving.

Oh ok. Doesn’t sound too bad. If you don’t mind me asking, how much was the repairs and how long was it in the shop. Thanks in advance
