Is there anyway, we can find out, the vehicle is running on 8 now and/or 4 now
(I had Tahoe 15 before, and it shows on dash, "V4" means 4 cylinders running only. and "V8" when all)
is there any such indication in Durango ?

 

Don't see what year Durango you have, but on the 2013, between the tach and speedometer there is what they call Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) that shows "ECO" on top when running on 4 cylinders instead of 8. ECO will show between the outside temperature indicator and the direction the car is going indicator. If yours is different then the info is in the user's manual.

Yes. Page 336 of the Owner's Manual.

If you don't have an Owner's Manual you can download from the Mopar site. You can also register your Durango at
https://www.mopar.com/en-us.html
and see maintenance records and whether all recalls were completed. My 2013 shows 3-recalls, all completed.
