Default Dodge Durango 2015 R/T - Service AWD, ABS, ParkingSensor, and other lights on (Stutte

Hi - I'm having issues with my wife's durango where we have multiple lights on, to include Service AWD, ABS, Parking Sensor, etc.

We originally started having issues with the AWD system 3 months ago, when the Transfer Case Motor would make ticking noises when we switched gears. We went ahead and replaced the Transfer Case Control Module (Non-OEM) and the issues went away.

Well 3 months into driving it, we now have all these lights ons, and now the Durango stutters/lurches when you initially accelerate it.. and my wife thought it was a good idea to switch it to AWD Low after the stuttering started happening, so now it's stuck in AWD low.

I spoke to a mechanic, and he mentioned that the issue could be that the original Transfer Case Control Module not being OEM could be causing the issue, so I bought an OEM TCM and replaced it - same issue, lights still on and it's stuttering/lurching.

I'm reading online that it could be a couple of different factors, to include the Transfer Case Motor (Which idk how feasible this is as it sounds like it's an electric issue), a faulty Range Position Sensor, a faulty Transmission Control Module, or a faulty Transmission Solenoid Pack.

Has anyone experienced similar issues? am I going about this the right away? my thoughts are to try replacing the Range Position Sensor if that doesn't work > Transmission Control Module or > Wheel Speed Sensor

This sounds like it's an electrical issue that is now throwing off the transfer case, and I definitely don't want to mess it up more.

Thank you!

Default Similar Issue

I have this same issue essentially with my 2015 R/T. Took it to the shop twice and they replaced the encoder ring in the TC and another time took the TC apart. A third time they sent it to an electronics specialist and sent it back saying they couldn’t figure it out bc of the proprietary Dodge software wouldn’t let them reset the ‘learning ability’ of the PCM or something like that.

the lurching stopped after the first visit to the shop. Every once in a while it doesn’t throw any codes and works just fine. Usually it says ‘Service AWD Soon’ as soon as the vehicle starts. Often during driving it always will say that the AWD is temporarily disabled.

Have not found a fix yet, eventually I guess I will have to take it to the dealership.
