Redline w/ K&N Filter, i went 12 months putting 4500 miles and oil looked great.
Truck is like a weekend truck thats splits time with an HD, so low miles.

I have been using Pennzoil Platinum full synthetic with a K&N filter. Seems to work pretty good for me. I change about every 6000 miles, or close to it.

Redline 5w30 with Hasting filter every 7K miles. Mostly highway with some around town drving. My understanding is that Redline is the only TRUE synthetic, without any additives that derive from petro. Unlike other so called synthetics. Been using this since new in my 04' 1500 Ram 4X4.

Just changed to Pennzoil 5w20 w/Mobil 1 filter. Synthetic is to expensive since the new generations of oil are so good. Even the regular Pennzoil has some synthetic in it and is less than half the price of Mobil 1. I don't drive 8,000 a year so it isn't worth the synthetic. I'd hate to change oil just once a year.

Royal Purple with a Fram ToughGuard filter in my 3rd Gen 4.7 1500
Castrol High Mileage with a Fram TG filter in my 2nd Gen 5.9 1500 (150K+ and still strong!)

Oil is changed every 4,000 miles and filter is changed every 9,000.

AMSOIL 0W-30 and AMSOIL filters in the truck; AMSOIL 0w-30 and mobil 1 filter in the Avenger. Change intervals? The truck's first change was about 1500, then the second was around 10k. Avenger's first change was about 2500, then about 9000. Why? My calendar had openings...
