Default Lowering kit

What kind of lowering kit do you have? How much of a drop? Like it, hate it or what? Let us know.

A lowering kit basically does the opposite of a lift kit. Brings the entire vehicle closer to the ground, provides for better cornering, more areodynamic if you will. Lowering a truck can make it much easier for someone to get into the vehicle, but also inhances the trucks look.

This thread is just for general information. If you have a general question, please post it in this thread. If you have a detailed question, please post it in the 3rd Gen Ram section. Thank you.

I've heard Ground Force has a realy good kit, but I will never own a two wheel drive truck so don't rely on me. Lol

I just bought my '04 RAM and it's got the Ground Force 2"/4.5" drop. I seems like a quality kit, but the rear shocks are shot. I'm replacing them as soon as my new shocks arrive in the mail.

I'm running 24" rims with 35 series tires. They fill the wheel wells nicely. I finally replaced my worn out Ground Force shocks with Bell Tech Nitro Drop II's and the ride is much better; still no Cadillac, but better.

Hello All,
Has anyone here lowered their gen III using spindles. If so, what manufacturer did you use. Was there any issues with re-alignment?

Thanks,

You shouldnt have any alignment issues unless you completely slam her to the ground, then some issues could arise

i didn't know any one beside McGaughy's made the drop spindles. they are made for drive way installation but it probably wouldn't hurt to get it checked.

Hello, I have a McGaughy's 4-6 kit with 2" djm shackels, if you do the 4-6 kit you will need to get an alignment. Also you will need to talk to someone at the company becuse you can only run 17s or larger wheels becuse of lower ball joint clearance issues.
