Always run Mobil 1, with a Mobil 1 filter...
Change the oil every 5-6,000 miles.

I just bought some Valvoline Full Synthetic and a Mopar Oil Filter. I'm gonna go put it in tomorrow. Anyone have any problems with Valvoline? I got it because it was hella cheaper than Mobil 1. This will be my first oil change with the truck so every oil change I'm gonna try a different oil just to see which one works best.

I have a hard time finding Royal Purple around here...
Mobil 1 is like $26 for a 5 qt jug.
Castrol Edge is $30 - $35 for a 5 qt.
I haven't tried Penzoil or Quaker State either and don't want to. I hear bad things about them.

Mobil 1 5W-30 with either Purolator or Wix filters every 5,000 miles until the 7/70 runs out. Then I'll change it betwen 7,500-10,000.

Have been replacing oil at 3-4,000 mile intervals for first 20,000 miles. Running Castrol oil with Mopar filter.

Switching to Castrol Syntec w/Mopar filter. Considering trying blackstone labs to get a accurate reading on results. Thinking of trying 6,000 mile intervals and at 3,000 miles changing filter.

What do you think?
