i have the McGaughys 4/6 drop with 2" djm shackles (which i had to remove due to getting 22inch wheels. i love the kit its sexy as can be. the only thing i have to say is, i was having some clearence issues with the 2" shackles installed. my rear tires were getting chewed up real bad by the fenders. so since i wanted 22's i took them out and got some others to put it back at a 6 inch drop vice the 8 inch drop. if i could figure out how to stop the tires from hitting the fenders then i would go back to the 8 inch drop in a heart beat.

Default Lower help .....

Ok ... Lost and very confused..... I have read about lower lits, flip kits, 1.5 in rear lowering, 2 in lowering..... Some do some don't. fit no fit..

Ok hereis the question. I bought a 2002 1500 ram for my daughter. Seh wants it to be level. SHe measures from front to rear - total 2 in difference. She would ONLY like to lower the rear. Bell tech, Ground force and several other offer shackles.
Please tell me what I need to make my little girl happy?

thats all you need are the 2 inch rear shackles, i dont think branmd matters that much but i have the groundforce shackles. pretty sure youd never notice a thing no matter the brand.

I fit in the OTHER category.

just a leaf spring perch bracket in the rear (for spring under axle) and loosened torsions up front. Ill be adding a shackle in the rear and indexing the torsion bars to get more drop. My truck is 4wd

i think its alot more work than most know. or think... shorten the rear axel (if you plan on running bigger than 20 inch rims)... c notch,,, roll fenders... etc more like 5 k worth the ****... but hey if you do go with it let me know and i wanna see pics. that has been on my mind for about a year now. you can also kiss your "truck" good bye

Just installed the 2 inch drop shackles today (McGaughy's).

Haven't even driven on them. I'm using stock length shocks (Rancho) and helper bags too.
