I know everyone says 4.56s are best for 35's but it just seems like such a low gear for freeway driving??? what RPMS are you turning at freeway speeds 60-70mph?
I have a 2004 ram 1500 hemi AWD truck with a 4 inch lift with 35 inch tires. Im not sure what gears to get for better gas mileage bc i am lucky if i get 14 on the high way. what do you prefer?

worst thing you can do for a truck's fuel economy is to lift it and put bigger tires on it. Raising the truck increases the drag coefficient and the bigger tires are much more difficult to turn.
4.56 Gears will give you much better performance and may net you a 1-2 mpg in town, but will lose 1-2 on the highway.
For performance upgrade the gears, for MPG's, lose the lift and the big meats...
Well my dad wont let me take the lift or anything off the truck so im stuck with the lift.I really dont care what i get in town bc im always on the highway, so i need something for the highway use. Im not trying to make my truck fast, just looking for better mileage on Highway.
Have stock now but going to 4.56 here soon with lockers, I do a lot of city driving and even more on the trail, could care less about highway, I have a small car for that.
there should be a sticker inside the glove box, if not, there should be a tag on the rear axle. If you strike out there, you can take your vin # either to the Dodge website or dealer and request a build sheet....
