alright, i just put silverstars in, and as i thought they arent cutting it. luckily i got em off ebay for 20 something. honestly, i cant see for crap at night, especially in the rain. so im looking at projector headlights. i researched, but all i'm finding is people saying put projectors, then HIDs, and lots of pics of projectors but none of the light shining in front of their truck, just the halos lit.

anyone do projectors and HIDs? anyone retrofit some projectors into their stock housing? are the projectors already good without HIDs? id really like to retrofit some projectors in, alot of the projectors are just a little too much for me (ricey)

 

just like isnt the whole point of a projector to be a gas filled little dome that emits the light? how are people putting HIDs in it?

 

projectors are good for hids. they wont really enhance stock bulbs or silverstars. projectors help focus the light evenly. reason why guys with hids want projectors first is for that reason. without projectors hids tend to scatter all over the place and can be blinding ( thats why i took mine out until i found projectors that i liked and didnt feel like retrofitting cause it was a PITA. yeah the projector/halo headlighst on ebay are cheasy looking in my opinion. thats why i havent done it yet. there was a guy selling retrofitted stock housings along with an hid kit. they were expensive but very stock looking....
