Western Caribbean. Royal Caribbean Cruise line. Boarding the Liberty of the Seas. Ginormous boat.
My wife and I went RC 2 yrs ago on a smaller boat only because it was to the Southern Caribbean and hit up 6 islands.

wow sounds great. have a great time DD. ive never been on a cruise. now that they have the freedom cruises where you can do what you want and do not have to eat at assigned times and with certain people im looking into it. they have decent prices lately for cruises and all vacations ive noticed. only thing that sucks is buying plane tickets. where does the boat leave from/

I live in Albany, NY. Flying non-stop to Ft. Lauderdale via Southwest.
Driving down to Miami (30-40min) Staying overnight. I wouldn't risk the chance of a delayed flight for bad weather or such just to arrive on baording day which is Saturday. Lots of people do it and the last cruise there was about 100 people that missed the boat because their flights were delayed. Those bastards hels the boat up for about 3hours before the Captain decided to leave them behind. We lost 2hours at the first port. We flew into San Juan, PR for that cruise.
I don't like the Freedom cruises because they are very chaotic and the waiters aren't near as courteous and nice. My mother and aunt just went on one with NCL and they hated it. The only thing that really is do what you want is the dinner! Every cruise is do what you want whenever you want for the most part. Dinner times are set because it's always dinner and a theater performance and they are timed to sync with another. Theater like game show one night, Comedy another, dance/sing another...etc... Different every night. Think of the nicest theater you've been to and that's what they have inside the boat! No joke. The Dining hall is unbelievable.
I like the fact you sit down with others. It gives you he chance to meet people you otherwise wouldn't have. The last cruise we ended up doing every shore excursion with the people at our table because we got along so well. I reccomend the 2nd dinner seating. usually at 8 or 8:30 rather than 6:00 or 6:30. Then your sitting with lots of old people and could dtill be out on the islands! 2nd seating gives you a chance to take a caynap before dinner as well.
Goin to Jamaica. Gotta get some green...lol

my best freinds mother is dating a jamaican and goes down there every month. Hes a high up employee of a "green" field down there. she came back with video and he was coming out of the fields with 55 gallon trash bags FULL. damn what a life huh!!! well have fun. this post will probably be deleted by the time you get back cause the dont seem to like chat threads that arent stockied. ill try to keep it going. maybe we could change the name of it to CHAT THREAD>

im surprised anyone read this at all. i probably wouldnt either but i was in it from the start... so is there a way to change this to chat thread and not sticky it hammer? fore some reason my mind doesnt let me read the sticky posts up top and automatically goes down the the regular threads everytime. maybe combine to two and leave it here. where you been all day hammer? it was a really boring day around here if you couldnt alreasdy tell by the post whoring.
