notice the solid axle and the shiny steel lines under there, NOT the IFS on the 1500?

go for the pre-runner look. You probably dont need the full suspension unless you really do plan on running tracks with it. I like the prerunner look, especially with flared fenders, light bars and skid plates. lose the tailgate, brace the bed, spare tire in the rear, and trim the rear quarters. I dont see it being crazy and impractical if thats what you want.

im currently working turning my 2wd into a prerunner like setup. the KORE trucks are sick...when i get back from Iraq im adding. 2 more inches of lift, new upper control arms, 16" rims, 35" BFG mud terrains, the spare tire holder that replaces the tailgate, fox shocks, dana rear axle with lockers...soon ill be making my own skid plate and snorkel..ill post pics when the skip plate and cheaper stuff i can do soon is done..All in all building a dodge into a prerunner or prerunner copy is a long and expensive process. ive already dropped 2+ grand on mine and its like not even half done. the big thing is whatever you do you better be 100% sure you'll love it or your gonna waste alot of money. good luck bro...be sure to post pics as you go!
