The Bi-Xenon kit is highs and lows. There is a little different wiring for it, but not too difficult.

I totally have to agree with this. IF you are running these type HIDs that the "high" is based of an electromagnet, then those suck. I can say this because I have them. Basically it works like this, you turn on your brights and the elctromagnet gets energized and moves the bulbs ''upwards'' so to speak. My problem always has been when it does this I get less light because it moves the bulb too high and I dont have as much on the road and they why I never use them and tell people not to ge the Bi-xenon HID (hi/lo).

In REAL HID projector applications there is a mechanical shutter that gives the cut off line. It basically blocks the light from coming out the top of the projector or housing and thus gives you the ''cut off'' for incoming traffic.

When you turn on your brights with those, the solenoid on the projector gets energized and retracts the shutter, therefore removing the cut off line and also allowing full light to come out of the projector. So the bulb doesnt move and you keep the low beam pattern on the road where you need it and because the shutter was retracted, the "high" beam light pattern is put where you need it also.

I hope this helps. In the pic the shutter is at the top of the projector behind the lens and under the solenoid.

Just a question is it safe to install HIDs in the regular housing? I just been debating if I should spend 16 bucks on sylvania Ultra Bulbs or purchase HIDS but dont want problems...

You will get mixed answers on this and some people have strong beliefs. I currently have HIDs in stock housings and I didnt adjust my headlights down a bit and have never had any issues. HOWEVER, if you look at some pics with OEM headlights with HIDs v/s projectors with HIDs you will see a big difference. It IS better to run projectors. Doing a retrofit doesnt cost that much IMO.
