HID's and Cupholder Lights

I tapped right into my cigarette/accessory socket in the back..b/c all you need is a power and ground..and they say led's last forever so when my truck is on, my cupholder light is on. But i am sure if you wanted to wire it to a switch, you could do that. But when the cupholder is up and im not using it, you cant see the light
but that one strip does look pretty bright. might have to get me one. lol would come in handy for night driving since theres just straight dark down there when trying to find a drink
