Pics of my Ford....
i saw a youtube on the raptors and for a stock truck that can be off-road and STILL have the factory warranty is pretty nice. however NOTHING, not even a pre-runner with $10k suspension can even come close to the real unlimited trophy trucks that are $200k. you don't even know how bad i want one or to even drive one.
I'm still waiting for my truck to cost me money. It's an 03 with 68k miles (bought it at 45k) and I haven't spent a dime on it. The power steering hose leaks and that's a 50 cent fix.
I just towed 5500lbs for 450 miles with zero complaints. Sure I got 9 mpg doing it but I only get 10 mpg in town thanks to my foot so it didn't bother me. My truck is frequently WOT and nothing has happened because of it.
I have no seat complaints either. I'm 300 lbs so I promise I test a seat as well as anyone else. It was quite comfortable during my 7+ hour trip each way.
My exhaust is stock; I don't see the few horsepower potential gain worth the extreme noise it'll generate. My engine would need forced induction to render the stock setup inadequate. Headers may be worthwhile but they won't change the decibel level. My intake is loud enough on its own!
I don't like nor dislike the new Dodge's suspension. I don't plan to tow 9k lbs so it won't ever have an impact on me. I do think they wasted their time on that when the transmission was clearly the weak link in the drivetrain yet they just carried over the old unit. They really needed a 6spd or at least a 5spd with 5 well-spaced, equally-usable gears.
I've owned GMC trucks. I've owned Ford sedans and drove their trucks. I chose my first Dodge two years ago and I don't think I'll change my mind soon. We have to remember that the third gens were designed a decade ago and they've held up extremely well. I won't pay $40k for a truck so a decision on a new one is several years away. In the meantime I can eek out more power from my existing truck and it'll serve me well.

I went to look at some brad new ones before I bought this one, Fords were very well equipped but spending 43K+ on one that depreciates 3X in the next 2 years is not smart at all. Plus I had a steal on my truck, so even with the mods that I am doing I am still way bellow for what this truck retails for. Just my 2 cents...
let us know how smooth the ride is in 5 years lol and the coil over can handle more weight with less sag and a smoother ride so i don't know why you would not like it! my buddys got an 05 ford f150 and he just put $4000 into suspension and engine. 5.5 ft bed ug i dont think so
but that just my opinion
but that just my opinion
Have you owned Fords in the past? I used to, but never again, problem is loyality don't pay, for as much as I like dodge, I can admit thier still a bucket of bolts, a better bucket of bolts when compared to othier buckets of bolts.
Good luck with Ford, loyality is dead, I know hard core Gm guys who are running away from gm, Ford guys running to dodge, dodge guys running to ford, ya da ya da.
When I was in my Ford days, I spent a lot of time at f150online.com, some of my rants even appear here in dodge land.
