I had mine tinted to match the front and went pretty dark on the rear (I don't remember what the percentage). They did a great job of matching the rear door glass.

35% is legal here but I will be going with 20%. The shop put a light meter on my back doors and siaid they were 24% or 26% (I can't remember which). Too dark would make night driving a challenge I would think.

I asked the shop that did my truck to match the front with the back, and it matches good. They told me the backs were 15%, which is what they put on the front. In regard to laws here in FL, they told me 30% on the front is the legal limit. I guess in respect to that, the shop put a sticker on my driver's door jamb that states 15% rear and 30% front.

my cousin has 5% all the way around and i love the way his truck looks. and the tint guy said it looked like somebody had put aftermarket tint on the rear windows. the legal limit here is 35% but nobody ever gets hassled.

I pulled into the tint/car stereo shop when my truck was barely a week old and told him to match the front windows to the rears.

I have no clue what % that is but it matches and I've never been harassed about tint in six years now...

And when a Cop pulls you over make sure you roll down your windows ASAP, put him at ease and maybe you'll drive off without a Ticket

When I went to get my front two tinted as well I told my tint guy to match it all around but he told me that if he did that I would probably have some issues with the cops around here in Texas. So I just went as dark as he could on the front two and I have had no problems with it and I think it looks good.
