Really Bad Day. Here is so Scary pictures
Back on semi-track, I am AMAZED on how well the Plasti-Dip held up!!!
I did all the cladding on my Jeep and one step bad on the back bumper. The cladding has held up fine, but every time I contact the step pad, it'll scuff right off. Just the hard plastic bottom of my golf bag has done a number on it...

Dang man, glad you're OK. From the looks of it, you're lucky not to have broken any teeth or bitten off part of your tongue. That would REALLY suck. At least you walked away. Beautiful truck man. Sucks all around.

something i just noticed. The front tires are pointing straight in the first pictures. How bent are the frame rails? Because it looks like the engine mounts may have held them square?? I know when I KO'd a stop sign in a 25MPH hydro-skid, my truck looked exactly like that, just nothing close to as severe, it only pushed the bumper back 6" into the AC condenser. It just bent the bumper mounts, the rails stayed fine. My bags and seatbelt didn't activate, either. I'll see if I still have pics.
These are the after-fix pics. I linked a tow strap to the hemi, and wrapped it around the bumper. It actually dragged the truck 10 feet before the bumper popped out of the condenser.

that was plasti-dipped!?!?! WOW!! im really impressed. what was it before? chrome?
I keep looking back at the initial pictures and just cant get over how in-tact that cabin is. Simply remarkable how well the truck took that hit. Definitely a testament to the safety of these trucks (minus the airbag deal).

No my bumper was the factory black bumper before.
Just to keep everyone up to date. Im doing okay still having little headaches here and there. Still waiting on the insurance company to look at the truck and make the call on if its total or not.
good ol' slow *** dodge airbags. the one in my dakota deployed fine on the drivers side but the passenger didnt pop out until after the accident. ( which was at 55mph head on
