Just Installed Sport Bumper Cover
I installed my sport bumper cover today along with projector headlights I bought from K2 motors. The bumper cover went on really easy that I don't know why so many people say it is almost impossible. I used the stock chrome bumper and all the brackets. I still need to paint it as well as my grille, but I wanted to test fit it and see how it looked.
Thanks the bumper cover was $178 + $50SH so like $230 total. Was delivered by some dude in a van and it came From LAX. I bought it from Car Parts Wholesale or Warehouse. The prices are simialiar from place to place either cheap bumper High shipping or vise versa. Very simple to install just disassemble everything except the chrome bumper and slide it over and screw it down. You have to drill a few holes to help secure it better.
I believe it is factory replacement made for the Sport bumper Assembly. I was suprised how easy it fit over the chrome bumper. Most of the brackets are the same as the sport. I did a side by side comparison of LMC 's diagrams and matched up part # on the brackets to see what was the same.

I just faxed my VIN# to my mother-in-law who works at a body shop to let me know how much paint will be for the bumper and the grille. A case or two of beer for labor is the usual price of a side job for the painter. I can't wait to get it finished. Then I will start to redo the exhaust in stainless tubing. It never ends...
That looks bad a$$ for sure, I wanted to do this but ran out of cash from my hood upgrade. I wanted to do the sport or SRT bumper when I did the hood but they said it would cost me more than my insurance estimate was for the deer damage. For some reason the Chrome grill was cheaper than the unpainted one also? I don't understand that... Anyone ever paint the chrome one, or would I be better buying a new one and selling the old? Nice job man.. How long did it take you to install?
