Default Skyjacker vs Fabtech vs RC vs Superlift??

Hey guys I am on the market to buy a lift for my truck. Just wondering what everyones thoughts/opinions on the lifts are. Price isn't too much of a deciding factor here but I don't want the most expensive if it's not going to be the best for me. I don't off-road the truck a whole lot. Any personal preference and why?

I had only done three body lifts on previous trucks and wanted to do a suspension lift on my current one. Not knowing a great deal about them, I took advantage of the fact that there probably about 30 guys with lifted trucks in my hunting club. Many with suspension lifts and I got to talk to, ride in and/or drive about a half dozen IFS trucks with lifts.

Between that and some other research, I kinda found the design of the Rancho 4" (which I ended up buying and installing) and the Skyjacker 6" kits were among the best out there for an IFS truck. They both are the only ones to feature a full boxed sub-frame as apposed to a single or dual crossmember setup. Both seemed to handle better off-road to me than the Pro Com, Fabtech and Superlift kits I drove on IFS trucks. Of course, the Rancho and Skyjacker are also the most expensive of the above.

Couple other makers out there, but the above were the only ones I had opportunity to try.

I did have my eye on the Rancho and Skyjacker lift kits, the only thing that concerned me was neither said they come with extended brake lines (which i havn't seen a kit for our trucks that have them included) but I still assume I would need them. Another note I seen on skyjacker was that it required exhaust mods and possible front drive shaft.. I don't want to get into all of that unless I absolutely have to.

Brake line extenders came with my kit. The only issue I had with my kit is it stated that you can retain the factory skid plates and if you can, I sure the hell couldn't figure out how to get them back on without some fabb'ing. Although the sub-frame acts as a pretty stout x-fer case protector. I did order the optional Rancho front skid after the fact though, good protection but above that, it just looks cool, especially since the red frame matches my truck. Other than the optional skid, I didn't have to purchase anything to install this kit.

Can't vouch for the Skyjacker as far as brake lines, but I asked two guys with the Skyjacker about installation. Both paid to have it done, so I can't swear to having to modify the exhaust or drive shaft or not. I will say that I've never read on a forum where someone has one where they've said they had to do any such mods though...
