Ever have one of these days!!!!
Well for the last month i had some issues when on cold start up say 12 hrs of sit time.When on start it would jump instantly to 2k rpm down to 400 then slowly even out.Well i thought it was my t.b so took off my afe cai cleaned filter and ait sensor with sensor cleaner then took off t.b and cleaned them out removed tps sensor cleaned also.
Well that worked for 1 day then started back so i knew that was not it so when the next day i woke up to clean truck i noticed in 1 shot i had a broken drving light bulb ok $100 for 2 piaa extreme driving light none were damaged then when i looked at my rear driver tire the rim was resting on the ground had a 2/8 bolt hanging onto its puncture hole got it plugged staying for now!!
So my day is just going perfect this right before taking to dealer for apointment to check idle issues.So while under truck placing jack i notice my rear diff cover is leaking so is my rear right axle seal top it off my trans/t.c cooling lines are leaking...at this point im ready to rip off some heads........
so i get truck to dealer I took the head mechanic for a drive to show him the shutter i get when i go wot say at about 30km hr he noticed it also when i showed him.Tthey said it could be my egr valve which i replaced myself but that there was a criticle update on the egr valvle and cold starts which my problem is.They also took off drive shaft u joints all looked good then i told him i just got tranny flush a month before (thinking that would fix shutter)so i had to wait a day for waranty parts for cooling lines ...Then i get the call saying they inspected my rotors like i asked 3 needed milled and rear brakes were shot 2mm left..So they fix it and fix all seals and gaskets and mill brakes and replace pads while at it.
Then to top it all off then drove it again said no shutter might been the issue with cooling lines Or the egr issue on pcm flash update and the Cherry on Top...when the meatheads that flushed my tranny (local lube shop when to because was $200 cheaper) they over filled my tranny by 2.5 quarts (2.5ltrs)!!!!!!
i lost it at this point my face looked like the (ultimate warrior at this point lol)they drained the excess fluid and tripple check lvl so it was correct and the dealer guy made my day saying they will match any fluid flush in town which i thought was nice of them.So i called lube shop to talk to manager which is on holidays soo will talk to him for a reimbursment hopefully get my $221 bones back all i got to say what a day i know i curse on warranty work and how they sometimes refuse on what u expect on paying $42,000 for a truck but sometimes they do fall threw and it is a big relief.....
