I have to cut the brackets and weld them back together to shorten then up closer to the cab. Otherwise they sit down too low and look stupid. Personally i think it looks better with out them, and it keeps my wife out of the truck cause shes to short to get in. Ha Ha
I like the look also. Are you going to loose the gap guards and get full rear wheel liners? Did you have any issues installing the AAC halos or getting the epoxy to stick?
Yeah the gap guards in the rear from PA are pretty crappy. Eventually I am going to get the full wheel liners hopefully sometime before the winter.
As far as the halos go, the install was pretty easy, I've done halos before on my other car, but this time it went a little smoother than that one did mainly cause I knew what to do. I think that kit was an Umnitza kit. www.umnitza.com . I like their halos better than the AAC ones cause they are thicker but they didn't have a kit for the ram. The AAC ones were really thin which supprised me, but they sure are nice and bright. So far no problems with the epoxy holding, I used the stuff they supplied plus some other clear 2 part epoxy to ensure a good bond. I also sanded away the chrome where the glue was going to be to make it even stronger.
Looks good, where did you plumb the fill lines to for the bags? Been looking at that next, but debating that point.
I put them on the bumper adapter piece that came with the body lift that is right above the trailer hitch under the bumper. It was the only spot that I could see where they wouldn't get hit or broken off. I was going to put them right under the license plate but I could see me kicking them in I stepped on the bumper. As far as running the lines they go righ along the chassis and are zip tied to the framing for the trailer hitch. I'll take some pics when I get home from work to show what I'm talking about.
